On a machine running windows 9x, go into DOS and bring up the editor. Access the autoexec.bat file, and scroll down a couple of screens' worth of blank (blue) screen, then type: "autoexec.bat" (without the quotes!) On boot-up, the machine will process the autoexec.bat file, then again, and again, and... - the normal memory checks etc just never end... the only way to fix this of course, is to use a floppy and get back into DOS. and change the bat file.
