A fairly nasty prank. You know those small popper-things that look like small bottles with a string that pop when you pull them? (Other such devices may be substituted) Using masking tape or clear tape, tape them to the underside of a toilet lid (it doesn't matter which one) with the string on the inside of the bowl and whatever end explodes faces away from the toilet. Make sure that the lid that they are attached to can still completely close. Then shut the lid, and reaching into the toilet, tape the string to the inside of the bowl. The effect occurs when the victim opens the lid, pulling the string from the device, detonating it, and sometimes throwing streamers, confetti, and debris their way. Try it, it's really quite fun!
