Once your "friend" has walked away from his pc, follow these steps to lock him out of his own pc.
1. Open display settings 2. Select a screen saver (ex. 3Dtext) 3. Set a password* 4. Apply changes and close display settings 5. Open windows explorer 6. Go to c:\windows\system 7. Find the screen saver file (ex. 3Dtext.scr) 8. Create a shortcut of this file and move it to c:\windows\start menu\startup
This causes the pc to load the screen saver as soon as windows starts and, without the new password, leaves the victim helpless.
*If your friend already has a password set, or you fall victim to this prank yourself, reboot the pc and start windows in safe mode (do this by holding the f8 key while the pc is booting).
Open the display settings and reset the password. Safe mode will not load the password so you need only to restore the previous password or leave it blank & hit OK to overwrite. Also, make sure to remove the screen saver shortcut from the start up folder
