I saw the one user's post on simply taking a piece of tape and placing it over the trackball... I did something similar, but more devious. I myself have taken mouse fun to extraordinary extremes, and will list a couple here.

What I feel was the best: If you flip the mouse around, the trackball has a cover that you can twist off and pull the trackball out of. If you look inside, there are rollers that control the direction of the mouse. All you need is a single, tiny piece of tape over (ONLY) one of those rollers. Put the mouse ball back in, and close the cover, and walk away. What you will find is the mouse will only move either up and down only or side to side only. I played this one on a buddy, who about pounded his mouse through the mouse pad slamming it tryin to get it to work.

Other fun things to do with mice:

- Take the track ball out. Hide it.

- Take the cord that plugs it into the back, and remove it just slightly enough to not let the contacts make contact, thus making the mouse not function. When they go to check if it's plugged in, there appears to be no problems.

- Place a sticky substance on the trackball - but something that wont come off on the pad. I found the yellow sticky memo paper's glue to be an excellent thing to rub on the mouse. the mouse appears very sluggish and sticky in movement from there.

- In the windows control panel, change the button configuration to where left click becomes right click and right click becomes left click. This can be done in Start Menu->Control Panel->Mouse.
